Worship Ministry

Worship should be contagious, and call out to everyone, just like in Psalm 63.

God - You're my God! I can't get enough of you!
I've worked up such hunger and thirst for You…
So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open,
drinking in your strength and glory.
In your generous love I am really living at last!
My lips brim praises like fountains.
I bless you every time I take a breath;
My arms wave like banners of praise to you.

We really are a Family.  Children, parents and grandparents all worshiping the Lord together.  Blending our voices in harmony.

Why Blended Worship?
The main motivation behind blended worship is a conscious decision to bring the entire body of Christ, in all of its diversity, together in corporate worship. Rather than providing separate services to appeal to the tastes of different generations, all are encouraged to make concessions relative to their own personal preferences with the goal of a shared worship experience into which all can enter.  The strongest argument for pursuing blended worship is the fact that the body of Christ is blended   (Gal. 3:28); and it is in corporate worship that the truth of the body's unity (in diversity) can be most effectively lived out (Ephesians 4:4-6; I Corinthians 12:20).

Why Do We Worship?
It's what we were born to do, but it's also a command.  In the words of Jesus in Luke 4:8 "You shall worship the Lord your God and serve only Him."  We are called to a life of worship where God alone is the object of our worship.  When we worship, we honour God for who He is and what He's done.  Our worship is our response to Holy God.  It's not the music, it's our communion with our loving Father, His Son Jesus, and The Holy Spirit.

Want To Participate In The Worship Ministry?
There's lot's of opportunities.  If you love to sing, you can join in the Celebration Choir that leads worship once a month and is featured at Christmas and Easter.  Choir practices begin again mid September.  If you play an instrument, there are opportunities to help out with the band or to play for offering.
