Christmas Worship
December 17, 2014

The Shepherds came, the Magi came and they all worshipped Him;  the Messiah, the King of Kings.

In the busyness of the Christmas rush may you take time to worship the Messiah.

Lord, today I worship you.  King of my life, I confess that I have failed you.  I have wandered from you and doubted.  Thank you that you love me in spite of my questioning, in spite of my rebellion.  I worship you Jesus.

I am human, I make mistakes, I struggle with anger, frustration, depression, rebellion and sometimes I feel all alone.  Thank you that you came to heal the hurt, to comfort in need, to be a friend.

I am like a lost sheep at times, but you don’t forget me.  You chase after me and pursue me to make sure I am okay, that I am safe and on the right path. Thank you for being the Shepherd of the flock.  I worship you.

This Christmas I am grateful for the love you have shown to me and to all mankind.  I am trusting you for the journey ahead, knowing that when all is said and done, I am yours and I will live with you eternally.  I worship you and praise you.

I am glad you came humbly as a child to Bethlehem, to live among us and bring the good news of Love, Hope, Joy and Peace.  I am glad that you made a huge sacrifice on my behalf and for every person in this world.  I adore You. I worship You.

You are coming again, but this time in all of your splendor and glory.  As I prepare, and anticipate your second coming, I fall down and worship You.

*Light of the world

You stepped down into darkness

Opened my eyes and let me see

Beauty that made this heart adore You

Hope of a life spent with You

King of all days, oh so highly exalted

You’re glorious in heaven above,

Humbly You came to this Earth You created

All for love’s sake became poor

I’ll never know how much it cost

To see my sin up on that cross

Here I am to worship, here I am to bow down

Here I am to say that You’re my God

Altogether lovely, altogether worthy

Altogether wonderful to me

Here I am to worship, here I am to bow down

Here I am to say that You’re my God

Altogether lovely, altogether worthy

Altogether wonderful to me

Here I am to worship
