Celebrating Cheryl Rendle
November 2, 2015

On November 8th, we’re going to be celebrating the Ministry of Cheryl Rendle.  For 25 years Cheryl  has volunteered directing  either the Youth Ministry, or Kids Ministry of Westney Heights Baptist Church.

The amazing thing about Cheryl, is that she volunteered, not only as a leader, but as a servant.  Cheryl was often here cleaning, setting up, organizing, staging; you name it, Cheryl did it.  Many people aren’t aware she was here at least 30 hours a week.  Doing the math, and that’s like 37,000 hours.

So how do you thank someone appropriately, for volunteering / changing lives for that long?  It is said, that the most important thing about saying thank you is to be sincere.  Let the words linger as they’re said, and say it as many times as necessary to let the person know you mean it.

Thank YouFortunately, we speak many languages at Westney.  I’m not sure how many exactly, but if you ask Pastor Jack, he’ll tell you.  We'd encourage you this coming weekend to thank Cheryl in every language you know.  We’d also encourage you to spread the word and invite everyone you can think of, that has been influenced by Cheryl’s ministry here at Westney Heights Baptist Church.

Winston Churchill is quoted as saying “You make a living by what you get.  You make a life by what you give”.  Cheryl has made a life that shows God’s heart, and one we need to celebrate together this coming Sunday.  Why don’t you join us?  Services are at 9 and 11:30 am.
