We've Arrived in Ghana by Kim Lawson
May 7, 2011

We've arrived and have slept fast. 2/3 of the way to Carpenter.

By the time we landed, collected our 90 bags, cruised through customs, loaded the cargo truck with our bags, and settled into the hotel for some beautiful pineapple, banana, pastries and prayer, we were in bed by 11:30pm.

After a 5am wake up call, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast of more fruit, pastries, omelette, beans and cabbage (I'd like to know who picked beans and cabbage before a very long crowded bus ride! :). Les Noble shared a quick devotion about God doing the impossible with the raising of Lazarus and how He can still do the same, and we left with prayer.

We are very thankful for our wonderful hosts who met us at the airport and are escorting us to carpenter...Forsby, Simon and Stephen. It has been said that the bus ride is somewhere between 8 & 13 hours. We'll have to see!
God is good...the air conditioning is working well in the bus :)

Keep praying for our health and safety. Travel to this point was quite uneventful, but we still have a way to go (pulling out of the hotel onto the highway was quite eventful'll have to ask us about that later :)

Until Carpenter!
